That was put in place of the LA battlecruiser, which was horrible. DA only removed it because it violated an obscure rule. This got put in its place, good thing too.

Im not ignoring you. It's probably not in the prize list because everyone knew the top placing entry will be put in eve.
fake edit: CCP, i know you reduced the post timer, but it should be 30 seconds or so.

There were far better entries and you know it. I wont cancel an account over this. But i see now that your supposed commitment to delivering a better game is crap. Sure! It was by far the least imaginative and interesting design of the semi-finalists ù almost entirely derivative. Yes, it should fit in with the overarching look of the game, but that doesn't mean that we need two ships that look the same, only along different axes.
Whilst I appreciate that yes I would rather agree that I'd prefer the winning ship to be from outside the 4 playable races sphere of influence, I feel that is asking a little much.
Eve's art style is completely of its own. Regardless which ship you see, it's clear that it belongs in the universe. The art tends to be extremely communicative, functional and cohesive, this is what makes the game feel the way it does. Asking for someone to create an entirely new ship that fits in with the universe without borrowing heavily from other ships is rather a tall order, one that tends to be left to the creative teams at CCP themselves.
So whilst I agree that I would've like to have seen something perhaps more original, I feel that this entry is still utterly stunning, couldn't fit anymore into the universe if it were taken directly from the art book AND is both extraordinarily well drawn and thought out.
Just my two isk though.
Gonna have to go with this. Also, i forsee a dedicated rage thread incoming.
